Everything We Know About Kingdom Come Deliverance 2's Free Barber Mode DLC (Release Date & Features)
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn't give you options for customizing Henry aside from the armor you wear and the way you fight. However, that's going to change with Patch 1.2, which includes so much content, the patch notes are 34 pages long. With that many notes needed to go through all the content changes and additions, the new customization choices are likely just a taste of everything that Warhorse Studios has planned for the game's immediate future.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2sold a million copies in its first day of release, and with the massive patch scheduled to come out this month, it looks like the developer's momentum isn't stopping anytime soon. Plus, this giant patch isn't the only content that's planned on the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 roadmap, which includes three full expansions as well. If you have already picked up the game or plan to do so, you still have a lot to look forward to in the future.
What's Included In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Barber Mode DLC?
Henry Can Fight In Style
It didn't take long for hairstyle mods for Henry to appear after Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released without options to actually change Henry's appearance beyond what he wears. As described in a Steam news post and detailed in a Twitch stream from the official WarhorseStudios account, the Barber Mode DLC will address that issue. Since the DLC is free and part of Patch 1.2, every player will be able to take advantage of the barber's skills.
Barber Mode is the highlight of Patch 1.2 at the moment due to the limited information about what else is included in the patch. You'll be able to visit Zhelejov and Kuttenberg to find the newly added barbers, allowing you to spend Groschen in exchange for changes to your hairstyle. However, the barber's abilities aren't limited to the hair on top of your head, and you can even change Henry's facial hair, meaning you no longer have to keep him cleanly shaved.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Is Fun But I'm Bored With Its Romance
There are a lot of amazing features and fun content to enjoy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but the romances just fall flat in comparison.
In addition to Barber Mode, Patch 1.2 is set to include a variety of fixes and improvements. The news that's been released so far hasn't specified what's being fixed in the patch, but Warhorse Studios PR manager Sir Tobi noted on X that the patch notes take up over 30 pages to detail all the content being added and fixed. In the news talking about the patch from Warhorse Studios, the improvements are said to refine everything from combat to NPC behavior, which is quite the variety.
When Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Barber Mode DLC Releases?
It's Not Far Away
Short of any delays, the Barber Mode DLC is set to be released on March 13 as part of Patch 1.2. At this point, it seems unlikely that the patch will be delayed, and even if it has issues that are found after its implementation, Warhorse Studios will likely prioritize them through hot fixes or more small patches rather than delaying the primary patch. As a result, you should be able to enjoy going through the game with hair that makes it tough to wear a helmet, especially when you know a cutscene is coming up.

10 Real Life Historical Figures That Make An Appearance In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, like the first game, includes many characters based on people who once existed in Bohemia during that time period.
If you bought the gold edition, then you'll be ready to go with the expansions when they're released, as they're included in that edition. Otherwise, you'll need to spend a bit of money to either purchase the expansions or grab the expansion pass, which gives you access to the expansions as soon as they're released along with some unique shield designs. Whether you want to grab the pass or wait to get the expansions and enjoy the free updates in the meantime, there's a lot to look forward to for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
