Apple TV+'s Neuromancer Adds The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Star

The NeuromancerseriesatApple TV+ has added a star from The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. An adaptation of the 1984 dystopian sci-fi novel of the same name by William Gibson, which helped spawn the cyberpunk genre, the upcoming Apple TV+ series is set to follow a computer hacker named Case who is recruited by a powerful AI entity for a high-stakes heist of a secretive corporate dynasty. The series has already cast Callum Turner in the lead role alongside Brianna Middleton, Joseph Lee, and Mark Strong.

Now, the upcoming adaptation has added another actor. According to Variety, Apple TV's Neuromancer series has added Clémence Poésy to its cast. It is also confirmed that Poésy will be playing the character of Marie-France Tessier.

What Clémence Poésy's Casting Means For Apple TV's Neuromancer Series

Who Is She & Who Is She Playing?

Clémence Poésy is perhaps best known for her role as Isabelle Carriere in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. She also played Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter movies and appeared in Martin McDonagh's In Bruges, 127 Hours, and Christopher Nolan's Tenet. Poésy has also appeared in an Apple TV+ series before, playing Stella Ransome in The Essex Serpent, a miniseries based on the novel by Sarah Perry. Neuromancer is based on much more popular source material, which was followed by two sequels, so it has a chance to become a much more successful and longer-running series for Apple TV+.

Marie-France Tessier is more of a minor character in Neuromancer. A clone known under the laboriously long name, Lady 3Jane Marie-France Tessier-Ashpool, she is a skilled information broker and a member of the French faction in the novel, hence the casting of a French actress, Clémence Poésy. Tessier plays a key role in assisting Case by providing crucial information about the powerful AI entity known as Wintermute. Her connections and knowledge help drive the plot forward, allowing Case and other characters to navigate the complex virtual world and uncover the mysteries surrounding the AI's agenda.

Clémence Poésy is a strong choice for Marie-France Tessier in Neuromancer. Her portrayal of the strong-willed and determined Isabelle in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon especially showcases her ability to handle gritty narratives with high stakes. Meanwhile, her elegant yet fierce performance as Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter hints at her ability to portray the more sophisticated and intelligent side of Tessier. Overall, Poésy appears to be another promising addition to Apple TV's Neuromancer adaptation.

The Neuromancer series is expected to premiere on Apple TV+ in late 2025 or early 2026.
